• What were the most compelling topics that you learned in this course? I learned in this course that we all are trying as best we can to be stewards of this planet. But we don’t have the caliber of responsibility that industrialists have. The industrialists are the ones who are tearing up the earth and destroying it for profit and us the little people must pay for the mess they create for profit. They are the ones who lobby congress and make the laws to allow certain practices in their industry then they turn around and blame it on us common folk and they are the ones flying around in private jets and that own the fleets of trucks and diesel ships and floating fisheries polluting everything. Bill gates owns most of the farmland of the United States and we are the ones that must pay for it. I must pay for this class that Bill Gates and the elites should be paying for and learning, not me, I can barely afford to eat, and you want me to learn about farmland chemical runoff. What has that got to do with me and the price of milk these days. This class was a waist of money and fail me if you have to, I’m angry that I had to pay for this stupid class and this planet is being destroyed by profiteers if you don’t believe me ask the native Americans’ that got killed trying to stop the railroads from being built because we knew this destruction of earth would happen by the “Iron Horse” which was the beginning of where we find ourselves today. They went along with it anyways killing millions and millions of my ancestors and our source of food the buffalo. Stupid white man could have learned from us instead of making me pay for this class today. I want a refund.
• How did participating in discussions help your understanding of the subject matter? Is anything still unclear that could be clarified? I learned that this subject is putting a lot of unnecessary stress on struggling people. A burden that is not for us, our children. We are barely surviving, and we can’t afford to put “energy saver” appliances in our homes or buy electric cars. Most of us don’t have the means to visit the farmers’ market and eat like upper middle-class people. The reason I’m overweight is because of the restraints that have been put on me. But now I know I’m not the only one. This subject is a good cause for revolution against the Bill Gates’s of the world.
• What approaches could have yielded additional valuable information? Let’s watch the elites’ cash in their private jets and gas burning Ferrari’s and Porches and their rich man toys and equip my house with energy saver appliances and solar panels and electric cars for everyone since it’s their toxic greedy industrial revolutionary geniuses that are destroying the earth. This class just made me angry. This is the stuff that THEY are responsible for, not the common people.
